Peacock House Gets a Face Lift

Does this look familiar? It doesn’t to me!

Well friends, Peacock House is undergoing a major renovation – new siding.  It has been 7 days and I am feeling a bit better about the whole project – now that I can see some progress! Work of this nature seems to take forever…and I am anxious to get it all over with.  Our guests, have been terrific and understand that this type of work can only be done during the summer when we are open for business.  In a week or two, after this is all over, I will be happy and relieved.  New hydrangeas will be planted in the front flower bed and I will be able to look at beautiful new siding!  Dennis, of course is busy doing other things around the house – installing new venting in the attic, making new shutters and preparing to paint the back addition.  So, there are busy workers all over the place, just trying to make Peacock House the best it can be!

Thank you to all our flexible and understanding guests – they are the best!

  4. My husband and I stayed there Sept 10 thru the 13th 2011. We kept very busy with the great help of Sue and Dennis the owners. If you want to feel like getting away and feeling pampered the Peacock House is your destination. Sue gave us places to see with a bit of history and geography to go along with the area. It is beautiful. The area is geniune. Its coastal beauty is awe some. The Peacock House is anything but just a house. it makes you feel like you are home. Sue is wonderful and Dennis cooks up a mean breakfast. He also works on the home on their downtime. A lot of work goes into this home and it looks it. Love the piano. We will be back. Love you Sue and Dennis
